SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Prep crew is responsible for coordinating and executing the cleaning and sanitization activities of Viaflex fill lines, Viaflex facility fill machines, pumps, pipework, filling parts, and change rooms. Prep crew will ensure that all cleaning activities are performed as per standard operating procedures and work instructions and ensure that all cleaning activities are documented as per GMP/cGMP. Responsible for preparation of cleaning solutions and maintaining all cleaning supplies and cleaning logs. Execute training associated with cleaning and sanitization of equipment and facility. Keep change room organized. Other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers.  Perform batch change, set up and Operating multiup.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Responsibilities / Activities

30%

Prepare cleaning solutions according to standard cleaning procedures and document in appropriate logbooks. Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and logbooks.  Maintain cleaning equipment in a clean and organized manner. Keep change rooms clean and organized to ensure everything has a place and everything is on its place. Escalate cleaning issues to manufacturing supervisor/manager.

Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of B,C and T line.

The position involves the handling of cleaning agents, handling of sanitization equipment.

Assist in manual cleaning of walls in the fill room and change rooms with required cleaning agent.

Assist in cleaning conveyors and stainless surfaces in fill rooms, change rooms, print room and pouching room.

Spray walls in tank rooms, fill rooms, mix room with standard cleaning solution using a power spray gun.  Rinse with distilled water.

Provide the required supply of cleaning and sanitizing agents to filling rooms such as 70% Isopropyl bottles. Check all bottles of cleaning agents for expiry dates and remove expired materials from production floor.

Document all executed activities in designated logbooks and EBR. Ensure all logbooks are completed and reviewed in a timely manner.

Provide training to new operators on cleaning and sanitization activities. Assist manufacturing management and Microbiology Department in investigations associated with cleaning. Support other activities as advised by Manufacturing Supervisor or Manager. Assist manufacturing management in scheduling cleaning activities after shutdown.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Preferred may be specific to the business unit)

Education/Experience

Education Level

Required:

  • Successful completion of High school Diploma or GED

Major Subjects / Specialties

Required

  • English
  • Math

Preferred:

  •  Computer

Type of Experience

Required:

  • Fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in noisy and warm, wet conditions; also heavy lifting involved

Preferred:

  • Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment
  • Experience in food or manufacturing industry

Years of Experience

Required:

  •  3 – 5 years

Preferred:

  •   5+
