Provide a wide range of engineering work to fully support the manufacturing processes and products in Aibonito.  Implement, plan and coordinate inter- departmental activities related to process improvements and product support. Responsible for the diverse range of project activities related to process and product development, introduction and validation of medical devices.

What you'll be doing

Participate in multifunctional projects to contribute with plant manufacturing strategies.

Use standard and advance engineering principles to analyze and resolve process related issues.

Manage engineering resources to clearly set workload priorities in order to effectively support the manufacturing areas.

Get along with Divisional and International Facilities, outside Consultants and Suppliers to provide Aibonito with the best available technical support.

Coordinate process or product transfer activities from Divisional or International facilities to the Aibonito manufacturing areas.

Concurrently participate with Divisional groups in the development phases of new and existing process and product designs. Give in the modification, improvement or development of existing (or new) products to be manufactured in Aibonito.

Coordinate process or product validations using Local and Divisional engineering resources by acting independently to achieve desired goals.

Independently handle and perform multiple management and product engineering activities under Product Development Process guidelines.

Behave as the Technical Approver in Aibonito.

Maintain contact with Divisional or International Offices on a consistent basis.

Promote a zero-harm work place, and assure that required EHS resources are available and that all applicable EHS practices and rules are being followed by

supervised employees.

Observe data privacy and confidentiality rules at all time.

What you'll bring

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.

Five to Eight (5-8) years of experience in related field required.

Bilingual (Spanish and English) written and verbal.

Display a proven understanding of theories/practices applied by other fields outside primary area of expertise.  Ability to convince management on courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal methods.  Optimally operate in and may facilitate multi-functional teams with guidance.  Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications. Team and results oriented. Self initiative. Six-sigma Engineering. Knowledge of Design Control Requirements. Solid understanding of GMP, FDA, OSHA, QLP. Traveling required.

DEMANDA FISICA (PHYSICAL DEMANDS):

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work.  Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
