Your role at Baxter
As the Sr Financial Analyst, Cost Accounting, you will advise and support the development and configuration of product cost structures resulting in:
Accurate inventory valuation according to GAAP across all legal entities and multiple ERP platforms
Structured management P/L’s for Commercial COGS, Operations and Allocations.
Improved overall product cost capabilities
Enabled accurate product margin visibility

What you'll be doing
Plan, prioritize and advise all the activities of the inventory valuation function
Handle day to day operations of the existing inventory valuation function from management of current rates to monthly close and analysis
Development and maintenance of standard costs, and handle reserves for inventory.
Perform the monthly closing activities for inventory and functional support
Proactive analysis of costs and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management for margin improvement
Define policies and procedures for all inventory valuation activities
Role expects to be able to coordinate cross functional resources and knowledge to achieve desired objective
Regular interaction (weekly/daily) with the rest of the ISC finance leadership. This includes providing key feedback on processes, expertise on both cost accounting & Operations
Role plays a role in product costing organization and expected to drive process excellence and helping to set direction for improvements in the function.
Process the end-to-end view of product costing.

What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree in a finance or accounting, CPA or equivalent a plus
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain finance/accounting, as well as a thorough understanding and subject matter expertise of end-to-end process management and systems
Experience in the application and usage of standard work across all processes
Experience working across multiple manufacturing sites and finance partners
Experience in working with a distributed team with varied strengths in a highly fluid matrix organization
Adequate ERP & financial system knowledge
Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills and highly motivated with a proven record of implementing change
Ability to handle large amounts of data efficiently and time management to meet deadlines
Capability to help implement the argument for change, by analyzing and demonstrating standard processes
Lean or continuous process improvement experience is helpful
