Your Role at Baxter
THIS IS WHERE you build trust to achieve results
As a Commercial Director, Healthcare Systems and Technology, Greater Asia, you take pride in owning the execution of our Greater Asia HST commercial strategy, including new product launch, product expansion, digital solutions, and portfolio footprint.
What you'll be doing
Developing strategic approaches:
- Build market intelligence (access, competition)
- Develop LRP strategy and roadmap
- Own the regional strategy execution, product launch and coordination of country marketing plans, including go-to-market strategies
Market Development:
- Establish market & customer unmet needs expertise across key markets
- Work closely with global/country marketing teams to understand barriers to adoption, develop health economic models & strategies to grow penetration, & improve commercial execution
Marketing Excellence:
- Drive segmentation, brand proposition, positioning
- Curate regional marketing content, especially Digital Marketing content creation with help of Communications, Medical Affairs and Commercial Excellence teams
- Lead Regional Campaigns Execute foundational tools and materials to support consistent, aligned, and on-brand promotion.
Business Management:
- Understand and challenge critical business assumptions in S+OP, financial forecasting and product allocation
- Risk analysis and crisis management
Global/Country Interlock:
- Serves as region and country liaison to ensure global alignment and implementation of market strategies
- Understand / communicate forecast changes
- Align sales / function activities with marketing strategies
New Product Launches:
- Understand global NPD strategy, and partner with Global Marketing, Clinical, Market Access, Regulatory and Operations teams to country launch and geo expansion
Portfolio Management:
- Optimize product portfolio to enhance profitability & product lifecycle management
KEY RESULT AREAS & KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
1. Critical thinking and Problem solving: Ensure the portfolio alignments exist. Effective reallocation of resources and balancing the short-term vs long term strategies.
2. Effective Communication: Persuading key collaborators, internal communication of integrated therapy offers and selling it.
3. Business Insight: Demonstrate awareness of competitor activity, and Venture Capital Mentality
4. Collaboration and Partnership: Establishing relationships with government, regulatory bodies and hospitals. Ensuring Cross country collaboration and dealing with the matrix organisation
5. Motivating and Developing teams: Selection, leading and developing the leadership team and building a strong pipeline for future growth; drive common purpose
6. Dealing with Ambiguity: Ambiguity of shared resources, price/quality and different business models of medical products and renal business.
7. Customer Focus: Drive integrated solutions, identify problems, change policy, higher visit frequency and consultancy attitude.

Qualification and Education:
- 12+ years of sales and marketing experience in Medical Devices and/or Pharmaceuticals. Proven leadership capabilities.
- Product development, management expertise with success in capital business
