Your Role at Baxter

In this role, you will serve as an experienced Interoperability Engineering professional with expertise in System Integration, Wired/Wireless Connectivity, and Design. You will possess a deep understanding of Interoperability concepts and technologies and be capable of clearly communicating interfacing requirements. Your responsibilities will include implementing and troubleshooting interoperability solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Work on more than one Interoperable product in different stages of the product lifecycle from new product development to post market surveillance.
• Capture inputs for Requirements from various sources such as Standards, User needs, Regulatory, Quality and Service Teams.
• Perform impact assessment on the requirements on an ongoing basis for any proposed design/material/process change or an observation in the field/service or manufacturing to determine the impact and need for any mitigation. Come-up with the recommended mitigation with the rationale from Interoperability point.
• Facilitate an improved understanding of the interrelationship between Requirements, Risk, Security and Reliability.
• Crafts design concepts and research methodologies that best meet current and future customer & business needs for a product or process domain area.
• Effectively influences partners and multi-functional team members within the project.
• Leverages knowledge of technology, process, and domain to drive solutions and product design realization from a Interoperability perspective.
  

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science / Electronics & Communication / Electrical.
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Interoperability Product Design and development.
• Experience working on Healthcare products or applications.
• Must possess engineering knowledge and software product development experience in Medical Devices /Aerospace domain.
• Experience/knowledge of PKI will be added advantage.
• Experienced in at least of one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java.
• Experience with different operating systems – Linux and database query language
• Working knowledge of Medical Device regulations (21CFR820, European MDD, Canadian MDR, etc.).
• Understanding and application of such as ISO 14971, IEC 61025, IEC 62366, IEC 60601 is an added advantage.
• Worked on Minitab, Doors, or other Requirements Management & Documentation tools.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $96,000 to $132,000 and also includes an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location. #LI-ASR2
