As a Quality Manager, I, you are unafraid of navigating through necessary internal processes to facilitate a product you deeply believe in. What you'll be doing

  • Directly manages activities of the Change Control, Supplier Quality, Client Relations, Training and Document Control departments.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Supplier Quality management and managing and communicating with Contract Client Customers.
  • Manages Training Quality department with responsibilities including, but not limited to, training documentation review and change control processes, metrics reporting and local site management of the electronic global training system
  • Manages the Document Control department with responsibilities including, but not limited to, SOP processing and management and implementation of global procedures and specifications.
  • Implements quality systems procedures and understands and assures conformance to the processes and departments referenced above.
  • Interfaces with regulators during regulatory inspections.
  • Participates in and manages quality assessments of internal operations to analyze compliance and assess risk.
  • Interacts frequently with subordinate supervisors and functional peer group managers
  • Identifies and manages continuous improvement projects with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements.
  • Manages the coaching, training and development of subordinates.
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
  • Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

What you'll bring

  • BS in science or engineering.
  • 5+ years experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field which should include 1-2 years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable procedures, specifications, regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage/supervise a team of employees.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Good interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
  • Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 - $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
