Job Title: Commercial Head – Croatia and Slovenia

Location: Slovenia

Reports to: Cluster Head SCE

Department: Commercial Operations

Job Summary:

The Commercial Head is responsible for managing and developing our sales performance in distribution partners and direct sales in HMO’s in Croatia and Slovenia to drive sales growth and achieve annual sales and GP targets. This role serves as a bridge between our customers, distributors, sales force, internal functions, and marketing teams, facilitating the exchange of relevant clinical, economic, and environmental information. The Commercial Head will execute the go-to-market strategy and be accountable for its successful delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for Croatia and Slovenia, aligning with the regional and global strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong direct relationships with key KOL’s, customers and distributors, ensuring they have the necessary support, resources, and training to effectively use our products.
  • Responsible for identifying and manage opportunities for growth within the allocated markets within sales team and distributor network, aiming to increase market share and achieve annual sales and GP targets.
  • Responsible for relationships between the customer, distributors, sales force, internal functions, and marketing teams, facilitating the exchange of relevant economic and financial environments with specific reference to sales & marketing, market access and demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and functional teams to gather market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback, and use this information to execute strategy and tactical decisions.
  • Responsible for ensuring marketing programs and promotional activities in collaboration with the marketing team to support the go-to-market strategy are executed against plan.
  • Manage local contracts with distributors and monitor financial performance to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Work closely and lead the sales force in Croatia and Slovenia to ensure effective execution of the sales plan and achieve sales targets and collaborate with corresponding Business Unit Managers from the various vertical segments.
  • Management of day-to-day team engagement across all Baxter staff in Croatia and Slovenia, fostering engagement across all functions and creating a Best Place to Work.
  • Responsible for talent management (recruitment, performance management, development, etc.) Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
  • Participate on the Sub-Cluster leadership team representing Croatia and Slovenia commercial area.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, with a focus on medical devices or healthcare.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing distribution partner networks in the Croatia and Slovenia market.
  • Strong understanding of the Croatia and Slovenia healthcare market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English with proficiency in Croatian and Slovenian is highly desirable.
