Summary

Reporting to the BDCE Transport Manager Replenishment, you will be responsible for Trade and Supply Chain quality compliance, performance reports, 3PL performance, data flow management, freight supplier management, accurate processing of all logistics tasks through the system (SAP & Witron) and monitoring orders, discrepancies, shipments, stock levels and any other specified task identified by the team. These responsibilities are the major aspects of the job and other related responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Supply Chain Value Stream Maps to display the most up-to-date current state. Collaborate with the team to pinpoint Kaizen opportunities and implement as needed.

  • Monitor data flow management with 3PL partners, ensure maintenance of EDI and Interface processes.

  • Monitor inbound, warehouse, and outbound activities daily. Take action to meet service commitments and update customers on their orders.

  • Develop and verify metrics in support of key performance indicators.

  • Resolve customs clearance issues, driving remediation activities into standard work.

  • Ensure Month-End Warehouse recognition sign-offs are completed.

  • Serve as the central contact for all updates regarding shipment readiness and status.

  • Communicate all shipping requirements to Freight forwarders.

  • Communicate supply chain interruptions within the team ensuring detailed root causes and revised ETAs are provided.

  • Work within the required Quality guidelines as applicable to a Medical Device manufacturer.

  • Provide high-level support for customers on resolving complaints and inquiries in their market.

  • Transfer complaints for investigation to the relevant departments. Manage Non-Conforming Material (NMR) as per procedures.

  • Manage Stop Ship and/or product recall activities as they arise, displaying high levels of attention to detail and clear communication throughout the process.

  • Update and maintain Commodity Codes, identify gaps, and advance when necessary.

  • Assess and develop criteria to classify Commodity codes and determine Country of Origin, updating SAP with the same.

  • Assist and participate (where required) with Customs/Revenue authorities in relation to Audits.

  • Understand the legalities surrounding Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Goods shipments.

  • Work with Freight Auditors developing metrics that provide a clear overview of freight spend by lane.

  • Ensure freight and warehouse invoices are reviewed, approved, and signed off in a timely manner.

  • Provide detailed freight quotes to support specific requests

  • Ensure Freight Insurance claims are initiated, monitored, and closed out as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar position or in a position of responsibility with a Logistic or Sourcing focus.

  • The work environment is dynamic and changing, requiring adaptability, flexibility, prioritization, organization, and time management skills.

  • Business-related degree and 2-4 years of logistics experience

  • Experience and knowledge of External Logistics provider management will be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of Shipping/Export documentation and completion is required

  • Understanding of Lean principles and methodologies

  • Analytical abilities, results-driven focus, and commitment to quality

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Evidence of research and problem-solving abilities. Dutch language proficiency is a plus.

  • Numerate and accurate, particularly in relation to data integrity, accuracy, and quality.

  • Proficient computer skills are essential. Knowledge of SAP or a similar system is desirable.

  • It is essential to have a very flexible approach to work and be confident working in a matrix environment.
