The Senior Director of HR Operations will be a key leader in transforming HR into a strategic, insights-driven function by optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and delivering an integrated HR technology roadmap. This role will oversee HR systems, process optimization, and service delivery, ensuring that HR operations provide scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions to support business and workforce needs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and operational expert who can evolve HR operations into an advisory function that informs leadership, enhances employee experience, and drives continuous improvement across the enterprise.
What you’ll be doing:
• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for HR Operations that aligns with business and workforce priorities.
• Lead initiatives to streamline, automate, and standardize HR processes, reducing inefficiencies and enhancing service delivery.
• Transform HR operations into a data-driven, strategic advisory function, providing business leaders with insights and recommendations.
• Ensure HR processes are scalable, globally consistent, and compliant with all relevant regulations and policies. Oversee the HR technology strategy, ensuring seamless integration across platforms such as Workday and other HRIS tools.
• Partner with IT and HR teams to drive continuous improvements, system enhancements, and automation to support workforce needs.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new HR technologies to improve efficiency and enhance employee experience.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within all HR systems, establishing strong governance practices.
• Develop a best-in-class HR service delivery model, ensuring an optimal employee experience.
• Identify opportunities to leverage self-service tools, chatbots, and AI-driven solutions to enhance HR operational efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize HR processes such as benefits administration, compliance tracking, and onboarding.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, using data and feedback to refine processes and enhance HR's value to the business.
• Partner with HR leaders and business stakeholders to ensure HR operations align with workforce planning, talent strategy, and company goals.
• Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on HR operational trends, workforce analytics, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure HR operations align with broader business strategies.
• Lead change management efforts related to HR system updates, process improvements, and policy enhancements.
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing HR Operations team, fostering innovation and efficiency.
• Mentor and upskill HR operations professionals, ensuring the team is equipped with cutting-edge knowledge and best practices.
• Create a culture of service excellence, continuous learning, and operational agility
What you’ll bring:
• 15+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR Technology, or HR Shared Services, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep expertise in HRIS platforms (Workday preferred), HR process optimization, and automation.
• Proven ability to design and execute an HR operations strategy that enhances efficiency and service delivery.
• Strong knowledge of HR data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements in a global organization.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to drive operational efficiencies.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
• Strong ability to leverage data and technology to inform and drive strategic HR decisions.
• Background in AI-driven HR solutions, automation, and digital transformation.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
