Baxter Thetford are looking for a Packing Operator to join our organisation on a permanent basis.  Your main roles will be to ensure the production line is run in the safest highest quality and most efficient and effective way. Available Working hours will be on a 2 shift weekly rotation, Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm and a 1 shift  6am to 2pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements. This includes raise EHS observation cards

  • Operate within the Baxter documentation procedures (BaxU) and requirements meeting all safety quality and performance guidelines.

  • Identifies quality defects and reject them. Escalate issues to the team leader

  • Maintains the optimum line performance throughout the shift.

  • Performs daily and weekly cleaning of the equipment and the area

  • Is actively involved in improvement programs and adopts new ways of working

  • Role holder must be able to perform the visual acuity and colour perception tests.

  • Role holder must be able to fulfill physical requirements needed to carry out job including speed and Quality

  • Perform other tasks within skillset as required by Team Leader

Qualifications / Experience

  • Team player

  • Person with a strong work ethic and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business

  • Good Communication skills - verbal, written, listening

  • Results orientated

  • Follows instructions – written and verbal

  • Ability to remain calm in a fast paced environment

  • Simple problem solving

  • Manufacturing background/experience in Pharmaceutical/food environment would be beneficial.

  • Batch processing experience.
