Job Title: CNC Operator
$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS!
2nd shift: Monday-Friday. Start; 2:45pm
Your Role: As the Machine Operator you will have the opportunity operate a variety of machinery including CNC milling machines, hand lathes, and single spindle automatic screw machines, which produce parts made of metals, alloys, and plastics!
What You'll Be Doing:
-Your diverse experience will help you meet the challenge of performing both routine and sophisticated machine operation tasks. As such, you will need to be willing to learn and become familiar with both mechanical and N.C. equipment functions – understanding the operational sequences, documentation processes, including Quality Assurance procedures and blueprint guidelines, methods of measuring tolerances, adjustments and changes to cutting tools as needed.
-You will play a role in actively participating in the quality improvement process by recommending process and product improvements. Your communication and teamwork will aid you in sharing information and job knowledge regarding equipment and tooling with your colleagues.
-A key part of this role will be detecting and reporting defective materials/tooling, faulty operations/documentation, poor work, and unusual conditions to the Set-Up Operators as well as the group leader and making recommendations for improvements.
-Troubleshooting machinery, upholding high quality inspection standards and experience diagnosing operating and tooling problems are all a part of your previous experience.
What You'll Bring:
-High School degree is required.
-2 years experience preferred
-Understanding of standard measurement principles & blueprint reading.
-Proficiency using calipers, comparator, micrometers, and fixed gauges to close tolerances will be essential.
-This position requires you to work in oils and cutting fluids, constant standing and bending.
-Able to lift heavy bar-stock into feeding tubes.
-Overtime may be required.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has an annualized salary of $36,000 to $90,000.
