The Senior Export Analyst will provide advanced support to the operations team under minimal supervision.  This role is responsible for supporting Baxter regions in managing costs, developing, and measuring Export KPIs, tracking/tracing imports and expediting critical shipments, relationship management and support. Analyzing Global Transportation activity and identifying cost improvement opportunities is also essential.  The Senior Analyst will monitor and maintain compliance to transportation contracts as well as analyzing the Global Transportation processes to support needs and objectives. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides support for day-to-day export operations and monitoring the movement of cargo outbound globally from the US/PR
  • Evaluates and monitors Global Transportation costs to support projects and/or department objectives related to US/PR Exports
  • Assists in the development of export and transportation policies and procedures to ensure cost control and monitors regional compliance related to US/PR Exports
  • Conducts analysis and prepares business recommendations or corrective actions based on analysis results
  • Summarizes data for use in reports to business units, as well as identifying future opportunities
  • Continuously audits internal systems to ensure transportation and order management compliance
  • Coordinates with shipping/receiving facilities to ensure on time material delivery
  • Serves as key escalation point for Baxter Export corporation US/PR Export issues
  • Participates in key projects as assigned by senior management


  • Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels of the organization and function as a liaison with internal and external customers, suppliers, and vendors
  • Deep understanding of domestic/international shipment routings and logistics cost drivers, and the ability to collaborate to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries
  • Knowledge and experience with warehousing, distribution, supplier and inventory management
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, complete daily tasks on a timely basis, and project management skills
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communications and negotiation skills
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions
  • Strong communication skills with an understanding and respect for other cultures
  • Interprets internal/external business issues and recommends best practices
  • Identifies quality, service-oriented and innovative solutions and shares key learnings while staying in line with strategic plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and proven ability to perform advanced analytics.
  • Proficient in data analytics tools (Tableau, Cognos, DAS etc.)
  • Must be able to work with a high degree of independence and be a self-starter

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Transportation/Logistics or another job-relevant field of study
  • 5+ years of experience working in import/export operations, NVOCC/Freight Forwarder Industry is highly desirable
