Summary

The HD Application Specialist / Therapy Solutions Specialist (North of England) is a member of the Renal Care Business Unit reporting to the HD National Sales Manager. The role will involve building partnerships and training renal nurses across the territory on Baxter’s monitors and consumables and HD therapy offerings for both incentre haemodialysis (ICHD) and home haemodialysis (HHD). They will be a champion for the preferred patient pathway to promote to healthcare professionals that all dialysis patients are able to access the right therapy at the right time in the right place according to individual patient needs and circumstances. Application Specialists work together with healthcare professionals within the territory to drive clinical practice efficiencies and effectiveness. 

The Application Specialist will work collaboratively with all members of the HD Team ensuring alignment of activities with strategic business priorities and marketing activities to drive results.  This role will be home based covering the North of England.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•   Demonstrate and train customers about Baxter Renal therapies, products and services effectively and constructively through an evidence-based approach.

•   Keep customers updated regarding developments in product and/or clinical application to optimise clinical outcomes

•   Implement identified therapy and product marketing campaigns/activities Support Baxter Renal customers to evaluate and use of the Company’s products and services

•   Work as part of the HD Business Team to identify opportunities for business growth; applying resources appropriately

•   Provide educational support to customers through formal study days and teaching packages in line with Medical Affairs and the therapy and clinical development teams

•   Work closely with the Marketing Team, therapy and clinical development team and Medical Affairs to identify and develop Key Opinion Leaders in all therapy areas both regionally and nationally

•   Liaise and communicating with other Baxter departments/business units to achieve Company objectives

•   Support Internal Training initiatives as subject matter experts to drive clinical excellence amongst the renal sales team depending of specific area of specialism

•   Ensure adherence to relevant Company protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, ABPI Code of Practice and Nursing & Midwifery Council Code of Conduct

Qualifications

•   Experience in teaching and educational processes

•   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•   Confident Presentation skills

•   Team player and able to work independently

•   Experience working within tight regulations and standards

•   Strong results orientation and ability to deliver on deadlines

•   Technical capabilities to use the products depending on product portfolio

•   Clinical experience in Nephrology an advantage, but not essential

Please note, if you are not ABPI qualification already, you will be required to study towards this within 12 months of starting in the role.
