Senior Marketing Manager, Renal Care – Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Therapy

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an urgent and growing global challenge. We estimate there are as many as 4 million end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients globally, and millions more people go undiagnosed; this is a situation projected to grow annually.

For more than 60 years, we have partnered with the nephrology community to focus on pioneering care in both hemodialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (PD); and we maintain that pioneering spirit today through new therapies like expanded hemodialysis (HDx) and remote patient management.

The PD Therapy Marketing manager is responsible for developing and executing plans that help appropriately grow therapy adoption.

The Senior Marketing Manager, Renal Care will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to bring in relevant insights to the marketing plans and programs. 

This role is also responsible for digital transformation of the marketing efforts.

Strategic Business Planning  

  • Development of annual marketing plan/ strategy to facilitate therapy adoption
  • Effectively manage and plan discretionary spend to maximize ROI
  • Work cross functionally and incorporate clinical, sales, medical and market access input into strategy development, business planning and marketing program development
  • Lead market research projects to gain customer insights.  Leverage secondary market insights.  

Marketing Program Development & Execution

  • Responsible for all direct to patient and HCP marketing efforts to support Therapy adoption.  Lead the development and launch of digital marketing campaign and tools
  • Lead the development of marketing programs/ campaigns and tools to support therapy adoption by both patients and HCPs.  Ensure all internal and external stakeholder insights built into our marketing initiatives. 
  • Work with the sales team to ensure execution of the strategic business/ marketing plan in collaboration with the cross functional team
  • Ensure all current sales tools are up to date with regulatory requirements and effectively used by the sales and clinical team
  • Work with the sales and medical team to develop and execute on the KOL development plan
  • Work with the sales team to understand the  market dynamics and regional needs
  • Launch and support regional marketing initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with global partners to ensure alignment and synergies
  • Marketing lead for all conferences
  • Work with the cross functional team i.e. communications and market access to support therapy growth initiatives

Requirements

  • MBA, Bachelors degree with specific related experience (business, marketing, science)

  • Experience in medical device/ pharma marketing

  • Experience with digital marketing

  • Renal experience preferred

  • Marketing and sales experience within a healthcare industry preferred

  • Communication skills – excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Self-starter, works independently

  • Strong Execution focus

  • Critical thinking

  • Project management – organizational skills

  • Excellent team work and influencing skills (without direct authority).

  • Problem solving skills

  • Understanding of marketing processes

  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

  • Digital marketing

  • Leading cross-functional teams

  • French/English speaking – preferred
