Your Role at Baxter

As Associate Director of Strategic Solutions, you'll have an opportunity to establish and maintain multilevel relationships with our Strategic Accounts. This unique role includes identifying sales potential, negotiating, and closing opportunities, delivering clinical and operational outcomes. You'll collaborate in a matrixed sales organization, leveraging cross business unit communication of shared customer strategies. This is not a contract administration role but rather a "quarterback" of very complex deals in intricate and multifaceted, multi-site hospital systems. You'll utilize your knowledge of complex hospital system selling at several major IDN leaders throughout your region.
Your Team:
Reporting to the VP Strategic Solutions, you will be an individual contributor (no direct reports) but work collaboratively as "quarterback" in a highly matrixed across all other sales teams aligned with our capital products including the Connected Care HCIT product portfolio.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Possess and apply a broad understanding of the healthcare market and assigned client organizations through self-discovery, participation and membership in Healthcare organizations and commercial training
- Lead the development and execution of ION-specific short and long-term strategic and business objectives, through leadership of cross-Global Business Unit sales and support teams
- Engage and serve the Account Community through exhibiting curiosity, compassion, empathy, authenticity and servant leadership
- Develop, implement and track a comprehensive strategic plan to achieve revenue goals and expand the one company portfolio
- Connect our visions and solutions with Customer problems - accelerate Connected Care Vision
- Drive revenue growth in leading integrated healthcare systems to achieve and exceed growth targets and share of wallet
- Partner with sales teams to foster and grow relationships with senior healthcare executives; become a true advisor to accounts
- Identify, develop and maintain effective internal and external business relationships and act as strategic sales lead for all IDN RFPs, contracts, price negotiations across our organization
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills along with coordination efforts among internal team members across all GBU's
- Engage all team members through active and ongoing Account Planning, Mission Planning events and strategic planning
- Conduct consistent Client business reviews for assigned IDN's along with individual strategic plans supporting customer priorities to support short-term and long-term portfolio growth
- Partner with Deal Hub to identify strategic partnership opportunities and business models
- Gather market and customer data and insights to improve analytical and marketing tools
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's degree preferred
- Live in geographical proximity to accounts covered with expected overnight travel of 25%
- Sales experience driving revenue growth at complex hospital systems; selling capital equipment and/or healthcare IT is ideal; may consider consumbales or disposables
- Experience influencing in a highly matrixed environment; creating team alignment high performance teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing a multi-business unit/product line sales process
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and lead in a complex matrix environment
- Strong Knowledge of Healthcare Trends and reimbursement
- Demonstrates strong business and financial analytical skills/proficient with Excel
- Demonstrates ability to communicate up, down and laterally in a nationally, multi-business unit company regarding customer strategies and the role of each individual or team in achieving the desire outcomes: increase revenues, increased margin, satisfied customers, clinical outcomes
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $128,000 to $252,000 plus an annual incentive bonus and equity target. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
