Overview

Summary:

The Renal portfolio includes innovative technologies and therapies for peritoneal dialysis (PD), in-center and home hemodialysis (HD), continuous renal replacement therapy (Acute),multi-organ extracorporeal support therapy and additional dialysis services: The PD Clinical Specialist is accountable for maintaining and growing our peritoneal dialysis market share by providing clinical expertise & education; building relationships, problem solving, and delivering the our overall Baxter value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and Grow Current Peritoneal Dialysis Business
  • Identifies and educates relevant clinical stakeholders
  • Communicating with customers the benefits and features of our products
  • Focus on PD therapy providing clinical expertise, educational development, product line utilization and sales related support
  • Maintain service levels for customers – Educate on Strategic Business Initiatives • Implement strategic plan as developed by the Team
  • Reduce PD Patient Dropout • Optimize Prescription Management • Reduce Hospitalizations • Provide and Support Nurse Training
  • Coordinates and collaborates key activities with the teammates to ensure continuity of strategy and prioritization
  • Consistently search for and coordinate all growth &therapy expansion opportunities with teammates (considering all three therapies PD, HD and CRRT)
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively coordinate and deliver group presentations
  • Accountable for building and maintaining long term relationships with key customers in order to develop sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a proactive approach utilizing available resources to address customer concerns and challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and matrixed organization
  • Understands the business, industry and marketplace, including our competition to achieve business goals
  • Travel – 50-60%

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Peritoneal Dialysis is a must, CRRT and HD Experience is a plus
  • Good interpersonal, communicative and oral skills required
  • Proven expertise in product and therapy knowledge
  • Advanced consultative sales skills including excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Strong, demonstrated expertise in product and therapy knowledge

Requirements:

  • RN required with a minimum of 4 years of PD nursing experience
  • Critical Care or Dialysis Nursing background preferred
  • Able to comply with customer credentialing requirements in order to gain and maintain access to assigned facilities. Requirements are defined by each customer and typically include health vaccinations, training documentation, drug screens, criminal and personal background checks and information regarding health program sanctions (such as those regulated by the Office of Inspector, the General Service Administration and the Food and Drug Administration)
  • Must have valid Driver’s license
