Your role at Baxter

Based in Northampton, the Inventory Specialist & Data Analyst is accountable for ensuring the accuracy, quality, reporting, and efficient handling of inventory of product and system reconciliation at our National Distribution Centre in Northampton and our x3 PL Warehouses in UKI.

We offer a full-time fixed term 12 months contract, working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain records of materials in inventory and on order.
  • Collaborate with key partners such as the Warehouse management team, Commercial Operations, Customer Services & IT.
  • Maintaining stock requisition reports and resolving any reporting discrepancies
  • Resolving optimal locations for inbound inventory and providing effective solutions for optimized storage and movement of inventory
  • Investigating, identifying, and resolving issues related to inventory accuracy and quality whilst presenting the recommendations to the relevant collaborators
  • Ensuring that obsolete, expired & QA on status / held products are handled on the Warehouse Management System in line with Good Warehouse Practice
  • Maintaining ongoing system administration within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Crafting and maintaining Reports / Workbooks for NDC using Cognos, WMS, JDE & Tableau alongside other data sources to build efficiencies
  • Presenting and implementing technology into the National Distribution Center (NDC) that can be used as part of operational excellence to improve the operations
  • Attending industry events & exhibitions to explore industry-leading solutions in line with Continuous Improvement and present them to the senior leadership team

What you'll bring

  • Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office programs
  • Proven experience in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Structured Query Language (SQL), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and statistical analysis software (e.g. R, Python)
  • Previous experience in supporting audits and in administrative-level access of warehouse management systems
  • Successful experience in introducing new technology into an operational environment
  • Successful application of Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Good knowledge of process modeling techniques, such as BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation), and process analysis tools like ARIS or Visio.
  • Good knowledge of system analysis techniques, such as UML (Unified Modeling Language), to optimally analyze and document system requirements, use cases, and workflows
  • Ability to work optimally and efficiently as an individual contributor, team member, and leader.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven record of working within a team environment.
  • Excellent planning and interpersonal skills
