Your Role at Baxter:

In this role, you will be managing all aspects of assigned plant projects from concept, through implementation until final close.Provide technical and project management support to key plant stakeholders. Responsible for supporting the overall efficiency of newly installed and existing manufacturing equipment and processes.

utilize Root Cause Analysis tools to identify and prevent problems from recurring and drive measurable results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the design, installation and execution of projects to successfully meet all customer requirements.Manage project scope, schedule, costs, quality, contractors & assigned resources.Communicate and hold project status, planning and problem solving meetings.Produce project schedule, costs & progress reports.Effectively manage issues, conflicts and changes that arise.

  • Identify, develop, evaluate and execute technical solutions as required, for Value Improvement Projects (VIPs), process & productivity improvements/automation, system/facility upgrades and other projects to support quality/regulatory and EHS. Provide various types of engineering support to all internal plant customers as required.

  • Review validations; develop and update engineering specifications, SOPs, standards, operating manuals and other technical documentation.  Develop clear technical documents to describe processes and their state of validation. Review and specification of new equipment and processes. Support related equipment validation processes.

What you'll have:

  • University degree, Bachelor of Engineering (Majoring Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)
  • 4 – 6 years of basic project engineering/management in food or healthcare manufacturing experience
  • Communicates well, minimally comfortable at the interpersonal and small group levels.
  • Strong ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent time management skills.
  • Able to organize own work and prioritize work for others.
  • Effectively leads and develops staff.
  • Able to make decisions given sufficient input and support.
  • Able to clearly and logically explain technical issues using verbal or written form.
  • Able to work with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project
  • Able to read drawings, blueprints and any other technical system documents.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Change control management experience

Nice to have:

  • P.Eng accredited, Project Management certification from PMI or other institutes, Green Belt SixSigma or greater (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Sciences, Project Management)
  • 6+ Years of experience significantly within project engineering/management in healthcare manufacturing
  • Communication is strength, above average interpersonal, small group and large audience skills.
  • Able to bring structure to a team/process so that efforts are concerted and organized.
  • Able to make key decisions in the face of ambiguity, balances accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excels at simplification allowing non-technical team members to understand the issues.  Produces correct, concise documents detailing technical content.
  • Knowledge of statistical applications/Six Sigma Engineering.
  • Strengths in MS Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Access/Visio) and AutoCAD software.
  • Able to read, create, manipulate and review both 2D and 3D drawings, manually and using AutoCAD software.
  • Expereience using TrackWise 8
  • Fluid process design experience with expertise in thermodynamics.
