Your role at Baxter

Lead distribution operations, ensuring timely product delivery with high inventory accuracy and efficient distribution services.

What you'll be doing

  • Drive operational excellence and flawless execution in efficiency, cost reduction, process improvements, product deployment, inventory accuracy and turnover, quality and regulatory excellence, timely delivery, lead time reduction, and improving overall safety.
  • Develop leadership and foster a vibrant continuous improvement culture based on the Baxter Operating System principles.
  • Manage staffing requirements, analyze resource needs, and establish plans to meet these needs. Ensure talent management objectives are met through development planning and setting individual and group performance objectives.
  • Adhere to key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to receipt on time, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment to measure actual performance against goals.
  • Build and implement plans to ensure all performance measures and objectives are met and exceeded. Monitor and measure supplier performance to ensure all business requirements are met.
  • Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
  • Find opportunities and implement actions and projects to meet the annual operating plan and budgetary commitments.
  • Build and implement coordinated and standardized processes among internal functions and with outside suppliers/vendors.
  • Own the Best Place to Work workplace program that drives employee engagement at all levels and lead all representatives.
  • Align with HR on employee disciplinary issues up to and including suspensions and terminations.
  • Emphasize training and implement control systems to eliminate discrepancies.
  • Provide a positive and equitable working environment emphasizing the Baxter strategic framework and code of conduct.
  • Support and emphasize the Safety and Quality commitments.
  • Ensure all operations align with Federal and local legal requirements, including but not limited to cGDP and cGMP.
  • Ensure all operations align with Baxter Corporate and quality manual requirements.
  • Implement programs to ensure compliance with all function, corporate, state and federal regulations as they relate to employment, training, health and safety, quality, warehousing, distribution, and International Trade and export compliance.
  • Proactively address challenges, capitalize on opportunities, and anticipate emerging and future customer, marketplace, and competitive trends.
  • Foster and maintain a culture of safe behavior and zero-harm workplaces.
  • Actively participate and show leadership support for the safety action team committee.
  • Support the Baxter Operating System deployment for the warehouse (BOS) to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.

What you'll bring

  • BS in Operational/Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a similar degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Logistics/Warehousing.
  • Strong communication skills with Commercial, Customers, direct reports, peers, leadership, and third parties. Ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Baxter and suppliers and present to multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills including leading cross-functional projects with broad scope and impact.
  • Deep understanding of all aspects of distribution operations, including financial, operational, cost impacts, inventory turns, and service levels.
  • Strategic problem solver who embraces change, challenges the status quo, and makes recommendations for improvements. Proven development skills for nurturing top talent.
  • Analytical approach for solving complex cross-functional problems. Agile attitude to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Expertise in Operational Warehouse and Distribution Management, including Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.
  • Experience in JDE and WMS applications, Operational Excellence Experience, EHS overall knowledge.
  • LEAN Six Sigma experience, Good Distribution Practices, FDA guidelines and process validation, FTZ, and CTPAT.
  • Willingness to travel 10%.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000.00 - $132,000.00 USD annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
