Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver the financial objectives (sales, profitability) of the business, ensuring flawless execution of strategic goals.
- Manage the development and implementation of sales & marketing plans for the business, strictly adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Increase the success of the business by managing the product launch process through effective resource-allocation, improving product life-cycles, and ensuring portfolio optimization. Identify and prioritize resource needs and shift resources if necessary in line with the defined business strategy and plans.
- Optimize cross-functional support needs in the organization, ensuring effective communication between direct reports, especially sales and marketing management, and with the Regulatory and Medical teams. Manage professional networks at all levels of the global, regional, and country sales & marketing organizations.
- Ensure professional marketing and sales efficiency training support, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Supervise the organization of local marketing events for the business, building and maintaining relations with key opinion-leaders at the country level, as well as key partners.
- Establish appropriate marketing systems and procedures to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery, based on quality performance and a dedication to punctuality.
- Take charge of local marketing and sales investment, aligning with product priorities, and prioritize cost-efficiency, particularly in advertising, promotion, and other controllable expenses.
- Recruit and build a strong marketing and sales team to improve the company's image and competitiveness in the market. Clearly define the pharmaceutical environment and the company's key therapeutic areas.
- Accurately direct and manage all business team activities. Staff are mentored, developed, and motivated to handle job demands and achieve objectives.
- Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, customers, industry associations, and government representatives to achieve the objectives of the business.
Qualifications
- Good understanding of sales and marketing with knowledge of active portfolio management.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, selling, and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership ability, positive thinking, and a great teammate.
Education and/or Experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications such as a degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Science, or Healthcare, with an MBA preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience with a proven track record in the medical device/healthcare industry, including 10 years in a managerial role.
