Your Role at Baxter
Baxter offers a robust summer internship program based in the Chicagoland area that provides meaningful work assignments and projects that immerse students in Baxter’s culture designed to provide practical work experience highlighting what an individual would do in a similar full-time role with the ability to make a business impact.

You'll be paired with a mentor, receive support from your manager, and have access to the entire Baxter employee community to ensure your success.

Your Role at Baxter

• You will be working collaboratively to come up with solutions to cybersecurity and digital connectivity problems within our Infusion Systems portfolio.
• Work with product experts to understand user and business needs.
• Propose and execute one or more cybersecurity and/or connectivity improvement projects to meet internal or external needs.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional work environment including other R&D functions, regulatory, clinical, quality, manufacturing, and marketing team members.
• Demonstrate strong curiosity along with a passion for impacting the lives of patients and caregivers.

What You'll Bring
Baxter is targeting students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineer or related degree with a Cybersecurity or Connectivity specialization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative.
• Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a pay rate of $26.00 an hour.
