Your Role at Baxter

The VP, IT Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations will lead the design, implementation, and management of the company’s infrastructure, network, and end user support capability to support the company’s business goals, cost objectives, and growth plans.

This critical and highly visible leadership role will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the company’s enterprise infrastructure and network, and will require a combination of technical, analytical, collaboration and problem-solving skills to be successful.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the reliable, secure, responsive delivery of infrastructure, network and end user services to Baxter associates, teams, sites and service centers around the world
• Identify, evaluate and lead major transformational programs and projects including transition service agreements related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and spins in line with commitments
• Transform Baxter’s global infrastructure and networks to reduce technical debt, increase reliability and security, and meet company cost objectives including cloud and co-lo datacenter optimization, plant datacenter standardization, MPLS to SDWAN migration, plant network segmentation and network integration across segments
• Develop relationships with and lead key external partners and providers including Microsoft, Cisco, Orange, AWS, Rackspace and TCS.
• Lead and manage a large global team that delivers network and infrastructure operations, helpdesk and on site support activities, vulnerability patching and collaboration services in an insourced and managed service model
• Collaborate with IT leaders, business partners and external partners to ensure seamless technical integration with IT cybersecurity, platforms, systems and applications.
• Drive technical innovation of new network technologies to support business growth and digital transformation.
• Build capability through coaching, guidance and skill development for network engineers and teams
• Stay informed about industry trends and new technologies to find opportunities for improvement and optimization

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 20+ years of experience in infrastructure, network engineering / architecture, with demonstrated experience leading transformation of large-scale enterprise programs and organizational transformations.
• Experience leading and managing high-performing teams
• Experience leading a managed service provider transformation of network / infrastructure
• Experience leading large programs including cloud migration, cloud cost optimization, MPLS to SDWAN / SASE
• Experience leading network / infrastructure integration as part of mergers, acquisitions or divestitures
• Extensive experience with cloud, telecom, and network technologies and practices.
• Experience with cloud migration, AWS, Azure, network virtualization, SD-WAN, SASE and other emerging technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
• Experience with IT project management and budgeting.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and principles. In-depth knowledge of ITSM principles, Service Now preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $296,000 - $407,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
