Your role at Baxter

As a Customer Service Representative supporting the Hospital Products business, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of order fulfillment through phone and non-phone channels, including email and fax communications. You will serve as a key point of contact for customers, helping to process orders, resolve inquiries, and coordinate with internal teams to support customer needs.

This is wherestrong customer service, attention to detail, and effective communication come together to support order fulfillment activities and help provide a positive customer experience.

In this role, you will work closely with multiple cross-functional teams to support customer requests, manage order-related activities, resolve exceptions, and maintain accurate documentation. Success is achieved through delivering responsive service, processing orders accurately, resolving customer issues effectively, and supporting operational objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage aspects of order fulfillment for the Hospital Products business through phone, email, fax, and other communication channels.
  • Provide service and support to external customers and Baxter team members.
  • Handle customer inquiries, correspondence, and order-related exceptions.
  • Process orders accurately and efficiently, including backorder fulfillment, shipping discrepancies, returns, and other customer requests.
  • Balance customer service needs with supply chain objectives while supporting established performance measures.
  • Document service failures that impact customers and the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal partners including Product Information, Distribution Centers, Planning and Deployment, Credit and Collections, Customer Master, Sales Representatives, Center for One Baxter, and other teams.
  • Obtain and review information related to product needs, inventory availability, order quantities, and delivery requirements; expedite product availability and manage backorders as needed.
  • Maintain records, document service requirements, and prepare customer-required reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring

  • High School Diploma GED or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and the ability to work within web-based applications.
  • Ability to work remotely using a high-speed wired internet connection.
  • Ability to provide customers with superior service and a high level of satisfaction.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts during hours of operation between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. CST.
  • JD Edwards system knowledge preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $43,200 - $59,400 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
