Your role at Baxter

The Quality Strategy Business Operations Intern is an 8-week (June-Aug), hourly non-exempt position that will gain valuable experience in Baxter’s Quality  department by learning and understanding various aspects of the global quality Strategy and Business Operations by working on various initiatives such as Quality Quorum, Cost of Poor Quality, Quality External Website and developing a streamlined process for financial reviews .

What you'll be doing

• Identify and analyze business needs, conduct requirements gather, and define scope and objectives.
• Interact with Quality Management including lead small improvement projects within the team, working with plants and other areas
• Support the day-to-day operations of the Quality SBO function included but not limited to: financial reviews, best practice sharing across the organization, partnering with our digital innovation and data analytics teams
• Assisting the quality teams on continuous improvement activities.
• Perform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending in order to develop appropriate process changes.

What you'll bring

• Must have completed 3 years of undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date by Spring 2026.
• Excellent Academic Standing: Minimum 3.0 overall GPA required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• One year of working experience
• Must have basic software knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills to include personal accountability, decisions quality, drive for results, integrity and trust.
• Ability to solve technical problems
• Flexibility to work in assignments across functions and in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must already be authorized to be legally employed on an ongoing basis in the United States.
• Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.
• Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
