Your Role at Baxter

The Manager of Project Management Office (PMO) Operations will drive operational excellence for our Project Management Organization, playing a crucial role in transforming healthcare delivery through technology. This position is central to supporting our portfolio of innovative healthcare technology solutions and digital transformation projects.

This position will report to the Senior Manager of the Project Management Center of Excellence and Program Management Office (Sr Manager, PCOE/PgMO).

This position will lead a dynamic team of professionals, ensuring agile and efficient processes that support the PMO. The role requires someone who thinks strategically about how operational excellence can accelerate the deployment of innovative healthcare solutions.

Must be passionate about healthcare technology and skilled at implementing modern, agile operational frameworks that support project excellence.

Will collaborate with PMO leadership, commercial teams, finance teams and various technology partners to drive the successful execution of our “Save and Sustain Lives” mission, ensuring projects deliver maximum value to healthcare providers and patients.

This is a full-time, remote position. The working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of Project Coordinators, PMO Revenue Administrators, PMO Quality Analysts. Provide coaching, feedback, and support to ensure high performance.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify, develop, and implement processes that drive operational improvements across the PMO. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize workflows and ensure consistent execution of best practices.
  • Project Support: Ensure that the PMO has the necessary administrative support for its portfolio of projects, facilitating the smooth progression of initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate and allocate of team resources efficiently to ensure that the team is adequately supported in their roles while meeting the various needs of the PMO.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to measure operational efficiency, project outcomes, and team performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Partnership with Quality Assurance to ensure that the team adheres to established quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Revenue Management: Collaborate with PMO Leadership and PMO Revenue administrators to manage PMO financial and revenue performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Such activities will include supporting the PMO in financial/revenue planning and analysis activities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with PMO leadership and cross-functional teams to align operational activities with broader business goals. Communicate updates, progress, and challenges effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and systems, driving a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology operations management, preferably in healthcare, hospitals, or digital health.
  • Proven track record of leading teams in fast-paced technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives and modern operational frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional technology project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with quality assurance and financial management is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in modern project management and collaboration tools
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms
  • Advanced skills in analytical and reporting tools
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, financial management systems, and reporting tools. Ability to run pivots and generate reports in Excel is required
  • Strong digital literacy and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $168,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
