Your role at Baxter

As our Senior Engineer, Project Management, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Baxter-Cartago plant activities related to: •New products

•New processes

•New plant-level projects

•Ensures project compliance in terms of time, cost, resource usage, demand compliance, chain assurance, external suppliers, other Baxter plants, and the impact on other plants  Plant areas always ensuring quality

This team is in charge of analyzing, preparing and presenting effective offers with zero errors in the efficiency indicator, strengthening the effectiveness indicator and contributing to strategic sales plans through the bidding channel, which supports our mission to save and sustain lives.

What you'll do at Baxter

1. Plan, coordinate, and manage plant projects in order to ensure that they are completed according to the budgeted time and cost.

2. Ensure the fulfillment of the projects taking into consideration the needs of all the departments that serve as stakeholders of the same, for example Supply Chain, Production, Engineering.

3. When applicable, coordinate with other Baxter plants, suppliers, local project engineer, and
procurement to assess the impact and assess the risk of project implementations.

4. Coordinates the management of project stakeholders, both local and external to the plant, so that there is always effective and constant communication.

5. For the execution of their work, daily communication is required with local engineers in charge of projects,
collaborators from the different departments of the plant, Corporate Tech Center, Corporate Project Managers , and Research and Development, guaranteeing the correct flow and local implementation of the projects

6. During project planning, he performs impact evaluation of changes to processes, involving: personnel, machinery, materials, and ensuring the efficiency and quality of the product.

 7. Responsible for the schedule of the projects in charge, ensuring timely implementation.

8. Owner of the plant's project office meeting, PRB (Project Review Board) of the company and
provides information related to its projects, communicating financial impacts and status on the implementation date as planned.

9. To carry out the financial and qualitative benefit analyses associated with the projects proposed or in execution.

10. Due to the nature of the functions, interaction with other areas of the company, such as
Supply Chain, Finance, Maintenance, Sterilization, Production, among others, is required to efficiently attend to matters related to the projects in charge

11.  Apply problem solving according to the DMAIC methodology

12.  Support in Business Cases and information required for plant strategy projects.

13. Lead and manage the Cartago Project Review Board to ensure an active board for decision-making and vision alignment across projects such as CAPEX, VIP, and
Kaizen, and provide information related to their projects, communicating financial impacts and status on the implementation date as planned.

14. Understand and effectively communicate to team members the market niche, the competitive forces influencing the project, and how the project fits into the plant's strategic approach/plan.

15. Take responsibility for the project management system, identifying and resolving problems that may jeopardize project schedules. Improve project timelines through the PRB forum.

16. Identify opportunities for cross-training/comparison with other facilities. Directing team members, guiding them in priority-setting, problem solving, process clarification, referral to appropriate experts, etc.

17.  He is responsible for the performance of the project implementing team, the Gantt and programme implementation, budget
commitments and expenditure in his project portfolio.

18. Applying frameworks for project management such as Agile SCRUM

What you'll bring to the table

Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineer, Materials or related career.

5 years of experience in similar positions

 Bilingual (English, Spanish), B2+ according to the Belt Standard
