Your role at Baxter

Being our Products and Processes Engineer II to plan, coordinate and execute the activities of the Baxter-Cartago plant related to:

• New products

 • New processes

 • Improvement of existing products

 • Improvement of manufacturing processes.  Guaranteeing the fulfillment of projects in terms of time, cost and quality.

This team is in charge of analyzing, preparing and presenting effective offers with zero errors in the efficiency indicator, strengthening the effectiveness indicator and contributing to strategic sales plans through the bidding channel, which supports our mission to save and sustain lives.

What you'll do at Baxter

1,Plan, coordinate and execute; engineering studies, validations, FOC's, resolution of quality or manufacturing problems in existing production processes, support in the execution of project implementation plans, etc.

2. For the execution of their work, daily communication is required with Corporate Tech Center, Corporate Project Managers and Research and Development, guaranteeing the correct flow and local implementation of the projects

3. During project planning, he performs impact evaluation of changes to processes, involving: personnel, machinery, materials, and ensuring the efficiency and quality of the product. 

4. Be part of the company's Tiers and information cascadeo structure, providing support in the improvement of processes.

5. Responsible for the schedule of the projects in charge, ensuring timely implementation.

6. Actively participate in the company's PRB (Project Review Board) meeting and provide information
related to its projects, communicating financial impacts and status on the implementation date according to plan.

7. To carry out the financial and qualitative benefit analyses associated with the projects proposed or in execution

. 8. Manage the Warehouse and Laboratory of Products and Processes according to the requirements of the 6 ́S program and safety.

9. Due to the nature of the functions, interaction with other areas of the company, such as Supply Chain, Finance, Maintenance, Sterilization, Production, among others, is required to efficiently attend to issues related to products and processes.

10. Apply problem solving according to the DMAIC methodology.

11. Support in Business Cases and information required for plant strategy projects.

What you'll bring to the table

Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineer or related career.

 2 years of experience in similar positions

Bilingual (English, Spanish).
