We are looking for a Blow Film/Overpouch Material Handler for our Weekend Day shift (Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 - 19:00). Starting wage is $29.70/hour, plus applicable shift premium.

Operate Blown film to make roll stock and use Amplas or Altair to seal overpouch.

Due to the nature of our business, Baxter follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) which requires our employees to focus on cleanliness and contamination control. Other aspects of GMP that must be observed are no makeup or jewelry in the production areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform and document FOB, LOB and ongoing QA checks.
• Ensure equipment is operating within parameters.
• Load rolls onto overpouch machine.
• Observe operation to ensure machines are functioning according to specifications and make all necessary adjustments.
• Inspect pouch and place in tote boxes.
• Stack finished roll stock on pallets.
• Initiate Resource Identification tickets, enter required data, and attach to containers/material.
• Requisition/change dies and make minor repairs and perform set up as required.
• Move stock into designated areas.
• Schedule cut pouch for Viaflex filling, and blown Film required.

Job Requirements

• Successful completion of High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience required (Proof will be requested).
• Experience doing repetitive tasks.
• Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment (experience working in an assembly line setting is preferred).
• Demonstrated good attendance in present position.
• Demonstrated good performance & good quality in present position.
• Showed a positive attitude, applying Baxter’s Shared Commitments.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.
• Experience in trouble shooting mechanical problems.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Experience in working effectively both independently, and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated on the job.
• Equipment and tools used: Altair machine, Amplas machine, Blown Film Equipment, electric hoist, scale, ruler, manual and electric hand pallet truck, PC, and miscellaneous hand tools.
