Process

The intersection of quality and efficiency is where a Process Engineer thrives. The most efficient manufacturing processes take both the automation and human aspects into account, seamlessly blending the two pieces together. They design systems and processes, including installation, repair, and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment to ensure all machinery operates correctly and safely.

Hear From Our Engineers

From the United States to Thailand, Costa Rica to Italy and everywhere in between, our Engineers are proud to design and build the products that sustain and save lives for patients around the world. We've asked some of our teammates what they love most about #LifeAtBaxter and to share some of their experiences.

Joseph Kekoolani

Quality Engineering Lead, US

"Since joining Baxter, I’ve been exposed to and worked with all kinds of technology including injection molding, radio frequency sealing, camera inspections using AI, the creation, storage, retrieval, and analysis of data (including Big Data), and complex machinery designed to perform intricate work at high speeds. I've also been able to develop people leadership and financial acumen, as well as strong project management skills which have supported my career moves within the company."

Chernthongrob Sudchaleaw

Facility Engineering Manager, Thailand

"Baxter Engineers are creators, builders, problem solvers, and verifiers. We have frank discussions with both local and international engineers and enjoy a robust engineering network. Every team has several subject matter experts (SMEs) and we have access to them any time we need their guidance. They also provide helpful feedback and help us resolve issues as they arise."

Tania Woods

Fiber Manufacturing Engineer, US

"What I found most compelling about joining Baxter was that I had an opportunity to learn a very intricate process and eventually play a part in improving it. As the CAPEX Lead for our Opelika site, I've learned a lot about project management and have been able to see and understand projects that go beyond the normal scope of my engineering role."

Veronica Codazzi

Process Engineer, Italy

"For us at Baxter saving and sustaining lives is fundamental to what we do, so every minute becomes precious, and every moment of lost production makes a difference. Engineering contributes to this in finding timely and functional solutions to complex problems so as not to waste production time and to improving current processes by making them more efficient."
