Vantive: A New Company Built On Our Legacy

Baxter is on a journey to separate our ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company. HR Partner region EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa)

This is a very diverse, dynamic role with an international focus, combining both day to day execution and support, as well as project management and long-term strategic planning. The jobholder is a trusted partner to Functional Leaders in EMEA and works very closely with country HR teams as well as global HR to attract, develop and motivate teams across EMEA. They are responsible for translating the global functional people agenda for EMEA execution. The role requires good analytical skills and excellent communication / coordination skills. It is full-time.

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Contact person for cross-country HR topics related to the Functions under their responsibility. Support regional leaders on their people management needs, working very closely with country and corporate HR teams on execution

  • Talent Management: guide leaders on the review of talent on an on-going basis as well as for key processes in the Talent Management calendar. Be an advocate of Inclusion & Diversity and support leaders appropriately. Work with leaders and Talent Management team on the identification and delivery of development programs

  • Compensation & Benefits: work with leaders, country HR and the Compensation & Benefits team to review and make compensation decisions as required, with a strong awareness of different market and population group needs

  • Project management, internal initiatives and restructurings: support on a regularly basis by representing specific Functions at global or regional level. Provide meaningful data, brief HR teams and leaders as appropriate and ensure execution. Be a change champion. Feels comfortable to present complex topics to a large professional audience, facilitate team sessions

  • Recruitment: work with regional leaders to identify and define recruitment needs; support hiring managers and the recruitment team on the assessment of internal and external talent and create offers, working with country HR team and Compensation & Benefits as appropriate

  • HR tools / systems and processes: promote internal tools and processes, support and guide regional leaders and employees on appropriate use of self-service tools related to data management, hiring, talent management, compensation reviews etc.

  • Support HR and Functional leaders by providing data and analysis for decision-making and re-organisations such as cost analysis across various countries, headcount information etc.

  • Ad hoc support: support HR and Functional Leaders on internal communication needs, reporting, process improvement etc. as required

  • Travel required approximately 3 x per year (indicative only)

Who you are:

  • Minimum 6 years HR experience of which minimum 2 as HR generalist in a complex, fast moving and international environment

  • Previous experience in restructuring / re-organisation projects such as downsizing, mergers, acquisitions, spin offs, divestitures etc.

  • Strong awareness of different employment legal requirements

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills; ability to manage large amounts of data, analyse & summarise, make recommendations, at ease with tools and systems

  • Excellent English (written & spoken) is a must. Additional fluency in German or French a clear advantage

  • Very good communication skills, verbal and written, at all levels and with international stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and to successfully adapt to regular change

  • Pro-active, good problem-solving skills and ability to influence leaders

  • Curious personality and keen to learn

  • University degree preferred
