Baxter Castlebar have a fantastic opportunity for a Controls Engineer to join the Engineering department. This role will be to support many functions and assist with the operation of automated equipment, working in conjunction with many maintenance technicians.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Automation Engineering Department the role will :

• Support operation of automated equipment by carrying out fault diagnosis and identification in conjunction/collaboration with maintenance technician team of:
  • PLC’s
  • Robotics controllers
  • PC controllers
  • Automated instruments
  • SCADA systems
  • Data Historians
  • Serialisation systems
• Ensure functional operation of Floor IT Systems hardware (PC’s, HMI’s)
• Data analysis of fault issues to support improvements and upgrades
• Automation project work as required outside primary support function

YOUR BACKGROUND:

• Electrical, Electronic or Control Systems Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Other Engineering qualifications with suitable training and experience in above systems
• Electrician/Instrumetation/Mechatronics Technician with suitable training and experience in above systems

EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS:

• At Least  2-3 Years experience in a similar field
