You have deep knowledge of and experience with manufacturing processes. You understand the importance of building relationships, establishing order, and maintaining clear communication channels. As a Production Suervisor, you are a leader who is willing to listen and inspire others by your actions. Your role positions you to be directly involved in the physical production that enables Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives! You manage the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. As a manager, you are the trusted critical connection between the business and the workers on the floor.

What you'll be doing

  • You will be responsible for leading and advising a team of 30-60 employees in the production or processing of goods.

  • You will train associates, plan and assign work, address complaints and resolve problems, ensure adherence to safety and sanitation regulations, and implement corrective plans to eliminate recurrence of accidents.

  • Reading and analyzing charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports will be critical to determine production requirements, evaluate current production estimates and outputs, and ensure that customer delivery requirements are met. You will plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals and minimize overtime.

  • You will also assist in determining standards, budgets, production goals, and rates based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads. Developing and implementing 5S activities and other measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency will be a key part of your role.

What you'll bring

  • To be successful in this role, you will need an associate degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of Windows, MS Word, and Excel.

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for increasing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods is critical.

  • You will have training in 5S principles, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Bronze Certification preferred.

  • You should have the ability to adapt to changing situations and adjust actions in relation to others' actions, and a strong understanding of business and management principles related to planning, prioritizing resources, human resource modeling, leadership techniques, and coordinating people and resources. You will also be expected to support NPD and TCO activities.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $76,000 - $104,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
