The Finance Manager - Global Service is responsible for providing financial leadership and actionable insights to the Head of Service, APAC & EMEA. This role will influence decision making and help set the strategic direction for the region. This person will interact with Sr. leadership across finance, Global Service and within the segments. The role will be responsible for key finance activities, including annual operating plan, forecasting, monthly results management as well as serving as an integral functional partner for key organizational initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead all financial requirements for the regions, including annual operating plan, forecasting, long-range plan, month end close activities and external requirements
- Focus on growth by supporting key commercial activities with the cluster heads, such as pricing, deal structures, customer/market analytics and incentive program development
- Proactively identify opportunities and recommend solutions to business issues to ensure deliverables are achieved
- Drive standardization of processes, reporting, analytics and governance for region, in alignment of broader Global Service finance team initiatives. Highlight best practices from the region for consideration globally, and drive global improvements into region where applicable
- Develop operating expense reporting mechanisms and forecasting practices with direct ties to revenue and workloads, delivering clear, actionable data to business partners
- Identify, assess, and implement continuous improvement to financial processes and models, with strong focus on enhancements that deliver superior business partner support and direct impact to region outcomes
- Lead preparation of and present monthly financial attainment with Head of Service, APAC and EMEA to President Technical Services and Connected Care
- Leadership staff member of Head of Service, APAC & EMEA
- Manage 1 direct report, and indirectly manage CoE support members and local country finance partners in the segments
- Forge strong relationships with local country controllers and segment finance organizations to co-own processes and results in matrixed structure
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance. Professional certification such as CPA is also a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting and finance area; public accounting or related large public company experience a plus.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of process management, financial planning and actuals reporting required.
- Experience in project management and working with multiple teams required.
- Practical knowledge of ERP systems and PC proficiency in MS Office applications is required. Specific experience with JD Edwards is a plus.
- Ability to communicate succinctly and effectively with different levels of management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Fluent in English
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
