Your role at Baxter

  • You will be reporting into the VP External Contract Manufacturing and leading a team of 6 dedicated resources supporting our Compounding Manufacturing network globally 20+ Sites
  • You will have responsibility for a significant spend $500m +
  • You will have the opportunity to have a tremendous impact and will be provided with fantastic visibility to many of the senior leaders in Operations across Baxter globally
  • Support the development and implementation for External Contract Manufacturing (ECM)
  • Driving execution and strategy resulting in key business growth and significant cost savings.
  • Serve as liaison between Baxter and our External Contract Manufacturer network.
  • Provide oversight to the manufacturing, quality and development of products performed ECM’s
  • Partner with contract manufacturers to ensure quality, delivery and cost meet or exceed Baxter’s expectations.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and sustain ECM strategy Globally to be used internally and externally.
  • Assess capabilities and build business models to support and expand External Contract Manufacturing services.
  • You will be responsible for 150-200 single source suppliers
  • Partner with PSM and Strategy functions to develop manufacturing and capacity strategies that are consistent with the current and future marketing strategies (short and long term).
  • Work with marketing teams on building operational capabilities for new trends and products.
  • Support quality investigations and non-conformances by providing appropriate product expertise.
  • Support Due Diligence evaluations of potential BD Target organizations

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10 plus years of Pharmaceutical (preferred Compounding) proven experience working with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality required.
  • Procurement Background (Supplier Management , Contract Negotiations, Category Management, Sourcing).
  • API or Generic drug experience is preferred
  • Technical knowledge including: cGMP-Regulations and Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control and Assurance, and Operations.
  • Ability to develop and lead partnerships, proven internal & external customer management, ability to navigate a highly complex matrix organisation
  • Ability to drive and sustain entrepreneurial change, autonomous in nature, proven ability to implement, work to strict timeframes and
