Your role at Baxter

  • Provide site administrative assistance to the Site leader of the Round Lake facilities. Coordinate activities that are connected to the R&D team and site as a whole. Provide a cross-functional link for local and site-related activities. Assist with external activities related to the Round Lake site.

  • This role reports to the Site Leader, Senior Director of Research and Development.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for various administrative tasks to support the Site leader including calendar management and executing site activities.
  • Coordinates events, meetings, and activities including (but not limited to) employee engagement events, site visits, video & teleconferences, and community outreach events.
  • Produces and analyzes standard and specific reports for business continuity and decision-making purposes (i.e., budget, expense, purchase orders, presentations)
  • Responsible for communication distribution: newsletter, posters, Viva Engage, plasma screens
  • Manage the site with tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment, IT and facility improvements – site moves, conference room improvements, innovation room and working with maintenance on building repairs.
  • Participates in cross-training and learning activities
  • Assist with other related projects as needed

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years in a related field preferred (administrative, office management, customer facing) required.
  • High proficiency with Intranet and Internet and proven understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of the organization with a professional demeanor and comfortable working with a variety of professional styles.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects/workflow and handle time efficiently to meet established timelines.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction from manager and/or supervisor. Independently identify and recommend solutions/process improvements.
  • Manage time independently within assigned responsibilities.
  • Effective collaboration skills and the ability to leverage resources, methodologies, and tools to accomplish objectives.
  • Experience with DOORS, JDE and Agile or similar technology tools are a plus

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $49,600 - $68,200 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
