Your role:

As a Senior Engineer in Systems Verification and Validation team, you embrace the opportunity to have independent responsibility of understanding the Peritoneal Dialysis Therapy and Product requirements & developing/updating the test protocols & procedures for the new and / or existing products at Sub system, System & Therapy level. It includes verification and validation, environmental, performance, reliability and safety/regulatory related tests and executing the same, documenting the reports. Also contribute to manage the test lab processes, tools and equipment to ensure they comply to the quality system requirements. The role provides exposure to the cross functional global environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for understanding the product requirements & developing/updating the test protocols & procedures for the new and / or existing products at Sub system and System level.
• Experience in Test Planning, Test Design and Test Strategy development
• Experience in Test Setup preparation and Qualification.
• Co-ordinate with design & development team to start the testing early in the design cycle to ensure the requirements testability, design traceability & test coverage. Identify issues early to fix them.
• Identifying the root cause and drives action to prevent such issues to recur in future.
• Support in developing and managing processes and tools required to support the verification and validation activities, including test method validation, management of calibrated equipment and validation of Analytical Instruments
• Clear understanding and proven experience on basic requirements of unit, integration and system level verification and validation requirements.
• Performs servicing/upgrading of electromechanical test devices
• Ensures good documentation practices are followed in the V&V process.
• Identify and report any quality or compliance issues during verification & validation activities. 
• Diagnose, isolate and investigate the problem reports, as applicable.
• Participate in V&V process continuous improvement  activities.
• Participates and supports in design reviews.
• Adheres to Baxter Quality Management system and support audits and external inspections as applicable.
• Experience in External lab testing such as Sound, ISTA etc.
• Hands on Experience in IEC basic safety, EMI-EMC standards

What you'll bring:

• Graduate in Biological Sciences or Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3 to 5 yrs of experience in Verification and validation testing of Software, hardware and System.
• Relevant technical testing/reliability experience in electro-mechanical, electrical, or software testing.
• Understanding of hardware and software product design methodologies and test practices.
• Good & clear communication
• Critical thinking and ability to apply systems and therapy knowledge to ensure the safety and quality of the product
• Any test automation experience/expertise will be a plus.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
