Join Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Old Toongabbie, NSW, Australia, and lead our quality transformation initiatives with a focus on critical thinking and business operations. This outstanding role offers the outstanding opportunity to influence the quality and efficiency of our solutions throughout the transformation process. Your leadership and critical thinking will be pivotal in implementing world-class quality assurance methodologies and encouraging a culture of innovation and collaboration!

Responsibilities

  • Lead the quality assurance strategy for transformation projects, including the implementation of new technologies and process improvements.
  • Coordinate critical projects that support business growth, such as new resin formulation for primary containers and establishing a new Chemistry Laboratory.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, product & operations management, engineering, facilities maintenance, and business collaborators, to establish quality objectives and requirements.
  • Partner with external agencies and participate in conferences and other events to represent the quality organization.
  • Develop and put into place quality assurance processes, standards, and procedures to guarantee the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Participate as a member of leadership to align programs and projects with the broader segment portfolio.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge the efficiency of quality assurance efforts and track progress towards digital transformation goals.
  • Conduct assessments to identify potential areas for improvement in systems, processes, and workflows, partnering with IT/Engineers as needed.
  • Manage a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and standard methodologies in quality assurance and transformation.
  • Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and consultants to apply expertise and resources for transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and collaborators, providing regular updates on quality assurance activities, breakthroughs, and achievements.
  • Foster a culture of quality and innovation, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and accountability across the organization.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or Technical diploma with over 10 years of experience in science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Detailed knowledge of drug regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Competence in risk analysis and decision-making.
