Your Role at Baxter

This is where we make life-saving products

In this role, you will work in our Mississauga warehouse, reporting to the Warehouse Manager. You will complete standard warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, order picking, staging, putaway, replenishment, and system updates. The warehouse team also performs decontamination and facility maintenance to support our service operation. Attention to detail and process compliance are crucial due to our focus on medical equipment. We are seeking team members who can drive operational excellence and help make Baxter a top employer in Canada.

What you'll be doing

Warehouse Activities

  • Receive, reconcile and put away inbound shipments
  • Physical receiving of devices from courier
  • Physical receiving and inspection of packages from courier
  • Complete receiving and inspection for spare parts and devices according to local standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide Return Waybills to customers for devices that requires repair
  • Pick, Pack and ship finish goods and spare part orders
  • Shipping of finish goods to Customers, Baxter DC’s (Apple Express and UPS) and international cross docking.
  • Build waybill for shipping
  • Generate Proforma Invoice for international shipments
  • Packing slip
  • Responsible for accurately performing all inventory transactions on our JDE system
  • Perform JDE Ship confirmation for orders after shipping
  • Perform JDE Transaction for device transfer within CTS BP’s and locations
  • Close Service Records prior to device shipment
  • Advance any receiving and shipping issues to management
  • Monitor and record temperature and humidity readings in Warehouse
  • Replenish inventory in the service centre
  • Perform regular, accurate Cycle Counting and assist in resolution of inventory issues
  • Prepare of packaging materials to support service and customer order activities
  • Perform validation of outbound shipments when needed
  • Request for SR and RMA initiation for verified HomeChoice Serial numbers for repair
  • Check for holds and complaints for all devices for service
  • Addressing customer concerns or partner concerns related to SR and RMA's by involving the relevant parties.
  • Monitor and record temperature and humidity readings in Warehouse
  • Movement and distribution of materials, devices, parts, and accessories throughout the facility
  • Staging and disposal of waste materials
  • Use the forklift and other equipment safely and as appropriate in the course of performing these duties
  • Proactively drive Enterprise Management Systems (EMS) objectives and improvement initiatives

Decontamination / Sanitization Activities

  • Perform cleaning of devices and accessories per applicable standard operating procedures
  • Daily preparation of sanitization supplies and prep/maintenance of the decontamination area
  • Perform Serial number and product code verification
  • Accurately arrange devices in accordance with FIFO protocol.

Facility Support and Maintenance

  • Maintain working areas consistent with 6s principles
  • Perform “light” facility maintenance such as install / modify/remove racking, area taping, and area signage as required
  • Maintain a positive, effective working relationship with suppliers (carriers, couriers, pest control, facility maintenance, etc), other team members, Baxter staff, and customers

What you'll bring

  • High school diploma or Post-secondary education
  • 1+ years of experience working in warehouse operations
  • Prior experience, education or training in warehousing operations, logistics, business
  • Experience or certification operating a forklift
  • The positionis suitable for candidates who can show a strong work ethic, attention to detail and good character
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs on a routine basis
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes accurately
  • Capability to drive a forklift (We will train if not currently certified).
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (or similar email application)

Nice to have

  • 3-5+ years of experience working in warehouse operations
  • Experience working in a Warehouse environment, preferrably within Medical Device
  • Experience with JDE or similar inventory systems
