This position is for 12-hour Night Shift. The position is directly responsible for operations and personnel within the QC Particulate Matter (PM) laboratory per USP <1790> and USP <788> 10-12 direct reports (Lab Supervisor(s) and Quality Lab Technicians). In addition, the position is adjacently responsible for leadership activities to support all Microbiology laboratory operations occurring on night shift.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of aseptic technique and microbiological testing according to FDA, cGMP, GLPs, and USP testing methodology
• Digital literacy including knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)
• Able to lead multiple tasks/priorities in a timely manner
• Able to work independently and lead time to complete assigned tasks
• Ability to create an environment that values people, encourages trust, and open communication through feedback and recognition

Working Conditions:

• Laboratory and Manufacturing environments
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required within specified areas. PPE may include ear plugs, lab coats, safety glasses, hairnets, and shoe covers.

What you'll bring

Required Education and Experience

• A 4-year Degree in a Life Science Field (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology) or equivalent experience is required. Biology, Microbiology, related)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience or Master’s Degree in biological science with 1-4 years experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more clear with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $88,000 - $121,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
