Your team

Baxter’s Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring division is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, PMOto join the team at our Bellevue, WA headquarters. This is a hybrid role that allows a flexible schedule for remote and onsite work.

The right person will have extensive validated experience in leading and performing major, high-complexity programs or portfolio of projects as well as an interest in helping team members grow. This person will demonstrate their experience and industry knowledge to be responsible for the program management team in current and future new product development with a focus on developing core team and project management capabilities across the organization. Must be a confirmed team leader for consideration.

What you'll be doing

  • Accountable for core team performance, program schedule and execution, budget commitments, and spend across their portfolio of projects.

  • Lead project teams in defining program strategies, developing goals, and orchestrating team appraisal process.

  • Drive continuous improvement across the organization as a change agent for product development process with a focus on quality and time to market.

  • Create efficiencies that span the entire organization, helping to streamline the business and increase productivity.

  • Active leadership in cross-functional stakeholder management discussions, helping the business define the future direction of programs.

  • Anticipate potential conflict situations for proactive solutions and manage conflict situations to result in win-win outcomes.

  • Maximize business results through continuous improvement in the organization's ability to execute programs, from identification through implementation.

  • Champion professional development of team members. Mentor to improve capabilities in project execution. Coach on strengths and areas for improvement. Set goals in concert with company objectives and perform reviews.

  • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional members to improve operational strategies while leading all functional groups to create and adopt efficient and compliant processes.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or a related field with at least 12 years of product life cycle experience including over 8 years project management experience.

  • Shown success leading multi-site, global or enterprise-wide programs in the medical products industry.

  • Must possess validated understanding of medical product design and development processes. Knowledge of related subject areas such as operations, regulatory, and quality.

  • Experience in product development that spans mechanical, hardware, firmware, mobile devices, and cloud based systems.

  • Must demonstrate strategic leadership, mentoring, and management capabilities.

  • Expertise in all aspects of program management, including Agile/SAFe methodologies.

  • Ability to create team environments that are at once collaborative, empowering, supportive, and exciting — ones where team members do their best work.

  • Flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced, dynamic, small team environment.

  • Experience with technology transfers / working with external vendors.

  • PMI or IPMA or equivalent certification desired.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $216,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
