Your role at Baxter:

As a Service Operations Supervisor, you will report to the Sr. Mgr. Technical and Customer Support, providing direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and daily guidance to your assigned service depot team. Your responsibilities include ensuring safety, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and the achievement of key performance metrics, all while following SOPs and work instructions. You will also maintain and build effective relationships with internal customers and local operations teams, and be responsible for achieving cost targets, customer satisfaction, associate development, and operational improvements for your assigned locations.

Your team:

  • Your team will consist of multiple depot technicians that repair medical devices with safety and quality in mind.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Attend and facilitate monthly safety meetings, promoting safety awareness and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through 5S activities
  • Ensure safety training, meetings, and medical testing requirements are updated, and all learning modules are completed on time
  • Select, train, and optimize team performance.
  • Foster a diverse work environment and maintain strong relationships
  • Develop staff and self through regular meetings and one-to-one interfacing, ensuring a high-performance workforce.
  • Deliver effective oral presentations of information, including product demonstrations, team meetings, feedback of field activities, and cross-training of coworkers for service center and field functions.
  • Maintain site inventory accuracy and ensure rapid, accurate work order completion.
  • Lead all aspects of compliance with regulations, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives, while preparing cases for personnel and equipment requirements.
  • Efficiently lead and apply resources and assets, including implementing expense controls, optimizing parts and equipment usage, and monitoring local expenses.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction by working with Service Engineering teams to identify and resolve problems, maintain effective relationships with customers, and track related metrics.
  • This role comes with leadership responsibilities and management authority, including handling the hiring process, performance evaluations, work distribution, and administering coaching to employees.

What you’ll bring:

Required

  • Associate’s degree or sufficient post high school education or experience in related field required
  • Hold a valid driver's license, Have a clean driving history, and obtain a DOT physical card

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience and working with medical devices in a hands-on environment
  • Experience working with FDA regulated products
  • Ability to communicate vision and align staff performance; establish goals and standards for staff; build customer relationships; work as a team with others; mentor and develop staff; recognize and reward staff performance; and follow-up and follow through on commitments and self and staff work assignments
  • Adapt to new technologies and be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Schedule flexibility, with occasional overnight travel, and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability solve problems, work independently, manage time effectively, and resolve conflicts
  • Read, comprehend, and apply technical information, present information effectively in various settings, and possess basic mathematical skills

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000 - $99,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
