Process Development Engineer - 12 month contract

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership in multifunctional project efforts.
- Directly support the product development projects and programs of a group by understanding the underlying engineering principles and scientific theory.
- Bring support on sub-projects as part of multifunctional projects team effort.
- Participate in organizing and supervising all activities related to area of responsibility (Collect inputs, define technical requirements, URS, concept selection, prototyping, functional performance, pFMEA, specifications …)
- Design engineering studies and interprets results, in term of process and product scale-up, manufacturability, cost-of-goods, operating parameters and specifications, product design for form fit and function.
- Compile reports and analysis in written and graphic form, describing observations and results of studies.
- Ensure Projects execution in agreement with Baxter Product Development Processes (PRep and PDLM)
- Participate, within global multifunctional project teams, to the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering and/or research techniques.
- Maintain a high degree of engineering knowledge. Conduct literature searches and investigation of technical information as it pertains to the project(s) assigned. Effectively present information and study results to pertinent organization staff members.
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements and contribute to these ideas to accomplish project goals.
- Abilities to handle plan and properly execute project assignment, and capabilities of some degree of self-teaching and of assisting in the education of others.
- Interact directly with potential customers, Business and Marketing staff, Manufacturing groups, GBUs, Senior Management and Leaders.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent spoken, written and read English
- Expertise in Medical Product Development
- Good knowledge of Pharmaceutical technology and processing
- Sub-project management experience
- Statistical (Minitab & Six Sigma tools) and Project Management tools (MS Project) knowledge
- Autonomous and organized
- Sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication skills
