Summary

Baxter Malta Limited is a leading manufacturing company for medical devices. Baxter is seeking a Microbiology Analyst with a scientific background to work in the Microbiology Laboratory within the Sterility Assurance department. The candidate will be required to show ability to learn, work in a team as well as at their own initiative, and act within the rules and practices required by the company. A Microbiology Analyst is responsible for conducting and coordinating Microbiological testing and related activities required in the Plant.

The Microbiology Analyst will report to the QA Section Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Aseptic technique and sampling

·         Bioburden testing (total microbial count) of water and medical devices

·         Spectrophotometric analysis

·         Environmental testing

·         Media preparation

·         Microbial culture preparation

·         Documentation compilation according to GMP requirements

·         Instrumentation operation

·         Stock management

·         Sterilisation related activities

·         Test method validations

·         Laboratory upkeep

Full training will be provided. Position is fully onsite.

Education & Qualifications

Eligible candidates must be fluent in English and possess a degree in Biology, Medical-Laboratory Science, or a science-related degree. Work experience in a certified laboratory environment particularly in microbiology will be considered an asset.
