What You’ll Be Doing
 
Join our successful and experienced Victorian Sales team - we work with key surgeons, providing them with biological and synthetic solutions that assist in optimal patient outcomes.  Market leading products and a strong product pipeline are hallmarks of this exciting and innovative business area.
 
Within theatre, you will provide in-service product support for the effective use of Baxter's Advanced Surgery products and ensure up to date knowledge of products is available to facilitate effective and accurate communication with customers and drive growth.
 
• Establish relationships and networks with all levels of clinical and management staff
• Represent the features and benefits of the Advanced Surgery products new and existing customers
• Identify incremental business opportunities and develop strategies to grow the portfolio
• Maintain profitability in consultation with sales and marketing
• Provide market information to maintain a sound understanding of the marketplace
• Facilitate product presentations to induce product usage in key specialties
• Identify customer needs to provide in-service product support of Baxter’s products
• Maintain accurate documentation to enhance business relationships through effective account management
• Collaborate with Baxter Sales Management within the regions sales force, Group Marketing Manager and Surgical Care Manager to achieve gross profit and revenue growth
• Prepare new business forecasts for the Surgical Care management
• Liaise with Customer Service Team to ensure an efficient ordering process and enhance customer’s satisfaction
• Feedback market trend information to Surgical Care Business Manager
• Prepare monthly reports, including market / competitive intelligence 
 
Do you have what it takes to build a career here?
 
The ideal background will include experience in Orthopaedic / Cardiac / Medical devices sales. You will have proven experience in the operating theatre environment and demonstrated success in driving sales within a highly competitive market. Previous clinical experience in addition to your sales success will be advantageous.
 
• Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in the field of nursing, science or technology (eg. Health Science, Bioscience, Science or similar)
• At least 2 – 3 years technical and /or clinical experience
• Sales / Account Management experience in Medical devices sales
• Experience in a relevant therapeutic area - Intensive Care (technician, nurse, intensive care or similar)
• Well-developed presentation and communication skills
• Proven relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering customer satisfaction
• Current drivers license
• Intermediate Microsoft skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Ability to work autonomously with a drive and determination to succeed
