Manufacturing Equipment Technical Lead


The successful candidate will:


Oversee the Port Molding/Assembly operations on 2nd shift (including leadership of team consisting of 3 Production Associates


Relieve for breaks and to be capable of performing the Production Associate II job as needed


Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot the equipment necessary for production


Perform routine PMs on Injection Molding and Automated equipment


Perform product inspection, to ensure Quality standards


Maintain spare parts inventory


Complete and maintain molding documentation


Complete Capability studies as needed to assist in Mold Validations


Perform other duties as assigned





Previous Supervisor/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment


Ability to handle multiple task assignments with minimal supervision to ensure operational demands are met

Familiarity with and/or Knowledge of molding machine operating parameters including pressure controls, mold open and close transition, and cycle time


Familiarity with and/or Knowledge of mold temperature control systems


Familiarity with and/or Knowledge of mold components such as plastic flow, mold cavities and gating.


Familiarity with and/or Knowledge of plastic pellet vacuum systems and thermoplastics


Ability to troubleshoot and repair electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems on molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and automated assembly equipment


Ability to read blueprints (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic)


Ability to perform basic statistical analysis and make recommendations to engineers


Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, ability to learn maintenance, and inventory programs)


Good documentation skills with attention to detail
