Train with current North Cove Mechanics, Supervisors, and Technicians to acquire knowledge of North Cove equipment and processes.  By the end of the 2 year rotation, apprentices will be expected to accomplish the following:

Support plant production by performing repairs, calibrations, and preventative maintenance of plastics, sterilization, and filling/packing equipment. 

Requires mastering skills in general troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum and microprocessors. Rebuilding/modifying production machines and components to support technology improvements and control parts cost.  Installing manufacturing equipment.  Fabricating and installing machine guards and covers.  Perform general plumbing, pipefitting and welding tasks.  Use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical test instruments relating to control circuits and microprocessor repair.  Will work in areas that are hot, cold, noisy, and/or dirty. 
Candidates must-
•    comply with all Corporate Specifications, North Cove Standard Operating, Preventative Maintenance, Documentation, and Safety Procedures. 
•    demonstrate proper use and care of hand tools, power tools, presses, metal-working equipment, and electrical test instruments. 
•    perform all required documentation neatly and without errors. 
•    complete all program related or Baxter assigned training activities.
•    perform maintenance tasks and activities in other areas of plant when required for support of overall maintenance efforts.

•    Graduate of a 2 year Industrial Systems Program or similar maintenance related degree.
•    At least 2 years of verifiable industrial maintenance / military maintenance experience
Previous training and/or experience must include 3 phase power and control circuit electrical troubleshooting 
•    Candidates will be selected through a combination of experience, assessment test, and interview process.
•    Candidates will work overtime as required and will be moved to 3rd shift during the final rotation. 
•    Upon placement as a B-4 mechanic within the cell, candidates will not have bid rights for 1 year
