The role:
 
Join our successful and experienced Queensland Sales team - we work with key surgeons, nursing and procurement teams in the major hospitals in QLD and NT.

Your main responsibility will be the strategic targeting of customers within the Marketing segmentation - following and converting leads for the Medication Delivery business unit to drive sales as well as acting as the key education advocate for the total Medication Delivery product portfolio.

You will support and provide education on the function, rationale and optimal use of Baxter products to current and potential external customers as well as our internal Baxter Sales Specialists.

Within the clinical hospital setting you will provide in-service product support for the effective use of Baxter's Medication Delivery products and ensure that up to date knowledge of products is available and facilitate effective and accurate communication with customers.
 
What you will be doing:
 
• Meet the Baxter 2020 Goal of providing and ensuring ‘Quality and Patient Safety’
• Achieve sales goals, maintain profitability in consultation with sales and marketing teams
• Participate in territory management with the Training & Educator Manager, National Sales Manager, Medication Delivery, Healthcare Solutions, Marketing and Sales Specialists.
• Provide clinical expertise within the Medication Delivery Sales and Educator groups
• Co-ordinate and provide education and on-going training throughout trials and implementations of Fluid System Products
• Continue ongoing product support starting from implementation, following the complete product life cycle
• Record activity accurately in Sales Force
• Understand how Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and trends affect customers and how EHS initiatives can provide a marketing advantage
• Implement EHS Policy and report EHS incidents that endanger the environment or people
• Ensure Baxter product information material provided to customers has been approved by Marketing and / or Medical Affairs
 

Qualifications

The ideal background will include demonstrated sales and training experience in healthcare as well as a Nursing degree.
 
• Healthcare Educator / Training background - essential
• Commercial / Sales / Account management in Healthcare - essential
• Post Graduate Qualification in Nursing - ideal
• 2 – 3 years technical / clinical experience; Critical Care experience - desirable
• Understanding of adult learning principles; Cert IV in Workplace Training - advantage
• Well-developed presentation and communication skills – ability to impart technical and conceptual information
• Proven relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering customer satisfaction
• Ability to work autonomously with a drive and determination to succeed
• Aptitude for learning and development and a collaborative team approach
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
• Ability to be flexible with working hours and undertake interstate travel
• Current drivers licence
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
