The Role

As an Account Executive, you will drive the sales of Baxter Patient Support Systems Smart Bed capital equipment including frames, stretchers, maternal products, as well as IT type communications, and patient flow/tracking products for hospital personnel as well as rental products. Your sales will range from approx. $3M to $9M annually. You will be the pivotal Sales Account Executive for the local Baxter Sales Specialists (clinical and technical) and collaborate with local leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for products, and programs within the assigned territory and account base.

Location: Remote home office located in Morgantown, West Virginia or Charleston, West Virginia preferred, other local areas considered

Territory: Approximately 75% travel within entire state of West Virginia

What You Will Do

  • Drive the generation of new sales across a broad array of product categories to health care providers embracing solutions sell proposition
  • Drive the sales and maintenance of accounts for rental products to health care providers.
  • Develop a plan to address problem areas and prepare analysis for new sales. Conduct negotiations with the health care providers to finalize sales.
  • Lead the sales specialists and services personnel to drive new deals.
  • Oversee the installation of new products post-delivery to the customers
  • Maintain on-going relationships with customers to ensure maintenance of current base as well as the growth of new sales with the medical provider.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least three years’ experience of selling in the healthcare field, preferably with durable medical equipment sales
  • Ability to effectively interact with healthcare providers on-site is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Must understand and have experience with solutions selling
  • Must be able to travel locally within the territory, up to 75%, required
  • Valid Driver's License, required

Preferred

  • Able to understand the needs of, and influence, clinical staff ranging from nurses to C-level decision makers for large health healthcare networks, preferred
  • Strong Analytical skills, preferred
  • Ability to track sales activity, develop sales plans, understand local market and competitive trends, and complete the analysis of sales deals, preferred
