JOB SUMMARY
As part of our Operating Room Integration team, you will help provide highly innovative integration solutions for Operating Rooms and medical facilities. Our vision is focused on new ways to improve the daily operations of the surgical teams.
This role will be embedded in the R&D team and involved in the development of innovative solutions for the surgical environment. You will put your experience at the service of the development team to raise the technical level and create unique products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop, as part of the development team, unit and integration tests for (micro)services and portions of backend architecture of a complex medical grade product
Promote and actively participate in teamwork to research innovative technology solutions
Create comprehensive documentation for design assurance purposes, according to corporate Design and Development process and in compliance with EN 62304
Create V&V documents according to specifications
Define, execute, and further develop a verification strategy, test setups and facilities for software systems, modules and sub-modules
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Experience with the design and development of unit and integration automated tests
Advanced knowledge of Java™ (JDK 8 and later) – stream, lambda
Advanced knowledge of the Go Programming Language
Knowledge of Spring® framework (focus on Spring® Boot)
Knowledge and understanding of RESTful APIs
Mastery of Concurrency and Parallel Programming
Understanding networking protocols and technologies (IP, ISO/OSI, TCP stack)
Good knowledge of the Windows (10) and Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) Operating Systems
Knowledge of the founding principles of software engineering and, preferably, of "Behavioral Driven Development" techniques
Excellent command of written English language
Good command of spoken English language
Additional preferential and evaluated technical requirements
Shell Scripting
Understanding of Microservices Architecture (e.g. Kubernetes)
Knowledge of Medical device software -- Software life cycle processes according to IEC 62304
Knowledge in Python
Event-Driven Application Development, also based on messaging platforms (e.g. Apache Kafka, NATS)
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience level
2 years professional experience as a verification engineer or 4 years of professional experience as a software engineer
