Overview

Summary

The Clinical Nutrition portfolio includes medicinal products, medical device, digital solutions and homecare services. As sales representative in the North of the Netherlands, you will be responsible for selling the value-based Clinical Nutrition solutions to existing customers and engage with new prospect customers to offer them our Homecare solution. You have strong capabilities in understanding the needs from customers & prospective customers with the ability to close deals and deliver results effectively with drive and teamwork. You are agile and thrive in remote interactions with the customers.

Your challenge

Baxter’s clinical nutrition business unit is embarking on an ambitious journey composed of 3 main elements:

  • Clinical Nutrition has a diverse portfolio with new product launches and a rich pipeline. The offer has evolved from providing essential drugs to supportive medical device and digital service offering. You demonstrate experience in those areas and a track record of consultative selling.

  • Baxter Clinical Nutrition is expanding its service from hospital to home, accompanying the patient across the extended continuum of care. Within the hospital, you will connect with existing stakeholders and engage with new prospect stakeholders/customers, identifying their roles and generating interest for Baxter’s Homecare solution through understanding of their needs and requirements. You demonstrate a track record of prospecting, relationship building, negotiation and closing skills.

  • Providing a seamless omnichannel experience to the customer through both digital and physical interactions is key. You capture the benefits from digitalization and maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in Baxter’s solutions.

Role Responsibilities

  • You identify target accounts, opportunities & customer priorities, building solid account plan and identifying/approaching key stakeholders, champions and decision makers.

  • You lead price & contract negotiations to successfully close customer deals.

  • You ensure repeat purchase orders by understanding customer buying decisions making process & patterns.

  • You utilize all available sales tools to maximize sales efficiency (Salesforce.com) and completes all required administrative tasks (all reports and other KPI and metrics reports).

  • You conduct regular Business Reviews with Sales Manager.

  • You deliver ongoing product servicing by providing accurate product information.

  • You co-operate closely with Marketing, Sales Support and Customer Service in order to reach full customer satisfaction & the set targets. You own customer issues and ensure all parties and team members are kept informed in order to enhance customer loyalty.

  • You plan and execute multi-channel sales campaigns in collaboration with Marketing (automated mailings, web campaigns with tracking & call to action)

  • You build collaborative partnerships with key internal stakeholders such as Technical Services, IT, Operations to support solutions that require cross-department collaboration in both sales and delivery.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Scientific or medical / paramedical degree – strong scientific background is a plus

  • Minimum 5 years of Sales experience within Healthcare Industry / Hospital environment / medical sales

  • Fluency in Dutch and English is a must

  • Hunter mindset

  • Evidence of achieving targets and getting results

  • Team player

  • A great communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills from the ward to the c-suite.

  • Works autonomously, self-starter; learns quickly.

  • Product launch experience is a plus
